Elevate Your Cooking Space With A DIY Stove Shelf
Give your cooking space a lift by building a stylish shelf to hold your go-to spices and oils or decor. It’s easy! In just three steps you can elevate an often-overlooked space and create an easy-to-reach ledge for your supplies.
To get started, you’ll need a 1’x6’ board, saw, measuring tape, screws, and paint/stain. Step 1: measure and cut! You’ll want to find the length of the stovetop and height of the sides and cut them to size. Step 2: attach the legs to the top of your shelf. You can use 2 screws on the outside, or if you’re feeling fancy, use a pocket jig to hide the screws underneath the shelf. Step 3: sand and stain/paint the color of your choice! Once your project has been completed, pop it on top of your stove and place salt and pepper shakers, oil canisters, a plant or a vase to finish off the look. Enjoy!
